It’s too hot in Texas!

I’m not complaining … but I’m just sayin’ … ENOUGH!
Today is day 30 of 100+ temps. Look at the forecast for this week:
This happened on our property last night with dry grass and some idiots pulling
a trailer loaded with heavy equipment and two flat tires!
Riding rims on a road with dry grass…go figure!
They started 4 separate fires along our rural road.
The local volunteer fire departments and neighbors kept it from our homes.
Big THANKS!!

Happy your heat wave has broken. The 7 day forecast is all over 100 again.
If we just had some rain it would really help.
There are idiots aplenty out there running around and driving the roads. So glad the fire was caught before it could spread too far. It’s finally cooled off here in Nebr. thank God. The heat mixed with the humidity made it positively steamy. Hope your heat spell breaks soon too.
We’re getting close to the 45 day record of continuous 100+ degrees temps set back in 1980. Have to do things really early. I’m grateful the wind was only 5 mph and it was at dusk when those dummy guys went by with that trailer that set 4 fires. If the wind would have been strong it would have been bad!
A neighbor broke down the fence with his tractor and started working before the fire departments arrived. He had hay stored right by our fence! We were all nervous!
I’ve been so worried about fire down your way because of all the heat and dry conditions. I am glad someone noticed the fire early enough to put it out quickly so it didn’t become a major state wide fire. I was hoping the hurricane would send you enough rain to end the dry spell and disappointed when it didn’t. Maybe the next hurricane (Emily) will hold enough water in it to bring you rain. Be safe Margaret.
