February 17 is Random Act of Kindness Day, what will you do?

Posted By on February 2, 2011

Did you realize there was a special day to be kind for no particular reason?

Seems as if we should be doing that every day, but there is a holiday called
Random Acts of Kindness Day
and it’s coming up very quickly.
When I was teaching,
I had my students prepare a poster for that special day,
hang them on the wall in the graphics hallway, and we would all go into the hall
and critique them for improvements.

The title says it all, no need to analyze or explain;
know about it, and happily do one
.

Not a poster…a random act of kindness!

It gives as much to the recipient as the giver. So, what will you do?
How could quilters participate in this special day?

It could be something as easy as posting to 10 quilter’s blogs telling them
how much you enjoy their blog,

or an email to someone you haven’t been in contact with in a while,
or a phone call to Mom.

Do a little something extra for your guild on that day.
Volunteer for something.

Give away something you’ve been thinking you didn’t need all that much.
Give away something you think you need.

Buy an e-gift certificate and have the quilt shop send it to surprise a friend.
Hug someone.

Put a special note in a lunch box. Open a car door for someone.

Pay for the meal for the car behind you in the drive thru. Donate something.

Help make it a great day!

These are a few of my ideas. If you want more, go to their website:
