Celebrate July 4 with your family, friends, & a patriotic quilt!

Happy Independence Day! As we pause on this day to celebrate our independence and freedom it is also a day of reflection and remembrances of those that have given their lives for those very freedoms.
When they penned those words that created our nation so long ago, the founding fathers had differences of opinions but came together to write documents that have withstood hundreds of years of scrutiny. If you have not seen the HBO special John Adams, I highly recommend you rent the DVD. It was a wonderful series about the founding fathers and the first fifty years of our country that you and your children would really enjoy. It was both entertaining and enlightening.
Just as the founding fathers realized freedom would not come without sacrifice and pain, our own loved ones have given their very lives for our freedoms. For them and their service we are grateful.
I love creating patriotic quilts and Freedom is not Free is my newest quilt, just in time for July 4th! I hope you enjoy the quilt, the day, and all the freedoms it encompasses.

This quilt is 19.5” x 13.5” and goes together very quickly. The Statue of Liberty crown has seven spikes and seven stars to represent the seven continents and seas, the stars and stripes represent our flag, and the slogan, Freedom is not Free should be our constant reminder, lest we forget…
