1000 quilters downloaded this free pattern!

| December 1, 2011

This is a fun post.

1000 quilters have downloaded this free continuous line stitching pattern!

I’ve been watching the numbers creep up, and today was the day to reach 1000.

I sent the quilter an email and two free patterns!

Turkey day name card

| November 18, 2011

When the children were younger and had a week off during Thanksgiving…
boredom hit and a craft emerged. They made place cards for the big event.

Just a little construction paper, heavy weight paper, glue, scissors,
and a marker are all they need.

Trace the hand, cut it out and decorate it.
Cut a lighter color piece for the guest’s name and
glue it to the turkey. If the construction paper is too lightweight, glue the turkey
onto heavier paper and cut around the outer edge. To keep the card upright,
cut out a longer piece of the heavy weight paper and tape or glue to the back.

Ta Da! They have had a fun craft and you have special name cards!
We kept ours and used them each year. The date on this one is 1990!

New lawn mowers

| November 16, 2011

In case you don’t live in a rural area with livestock, this is a round bale of hay…
now selling for $140.00!

We now have new lawn mowers!

We keep the livestock away from us, but opened the gate and they are
living it up with new places to graze.

We just have to watch where we step now!

Fall foliage inspiration

| November 7, 2011

A couple of years ago I designed a quilt based on the leaves from this cemetery.

Just can’t pass up visiting it over and over (even if it is a 9 hour drive – one way).

This photo was taken two weeks ago.

You might think of using these color combinations on your next quilt.
