Is it too early to think about Vacation Bible School?

With the holiday season approaching, next Valentine’s Day, Easter, Spring Break…
is to too early to plan for Vacation Bible School?

No!

We all know the success of VBS lies with the volunteers.
You just can’t have too many volunteers.
Oh, you need a cool theme, decorations, crafts, songs, lessons, games
and all the support materials, but volunteers make it run smoothly.

If you are the director, have you started asking for help?
If you are a volunteer, have you offered to help?

VBS has open ended opportunities for service.
If you aren’t “crafty”, you can help register.
If you aren’t an interior designer, you can still decorate.
If you aren’t a speaker, you can read to the children.
If you aren’t a chef, you can bake cookies.

It doesn’t  matter if you are in a large or small congregation,
you are needed! 

If you are in a small congregation with limited funds, but willing volunteers…

The theme is built around Matthew 28:19-20

It’s a little like our “print and tape pantos”. You do the work
and save money. You still end up with something wonderful!


This is one of the crafts from the program.
It is faux stained glass; the children can
hang this on their window or mirror.

If you are shy, ask a friend to volunteer along with you!
The children will love you for helping!
