Quilting Clip Art

margaret | October 22, 2009

Are you a quilter looking for clip art for your patterns or for your website? I’m a busy quilt pattern designer as you may be, but I may be of some help with clip art. Here is a rotary cutter I’ve drawn and I’m using on my patterns. It was drawn in Adobe Illustrator, and as a vector graphic, you can enlarge or reduce it without fear it will look bitmapped.

rotarycutterIf you are interested in using the rotary cutter (without the background color) just post and I’ll send it to you. It’s FREE! Also, if you are in need of other quilting graphics please let me know. I’d like to form a list of generic quilting graphics we could all use for various quilting projects.

Need a Christmas quilt border?

margaret | October 7, 2009

Are you looking for a border for your Christmas quilt? Each of these continuous line stitching borders is approximately 4 1/2″ high and 120″ long. All three are on one printed pattern page available on my website.

Top is jingly bells, second is round tree ornaments hanging from a noble fur branch, and third is Santa and his reindeer flying over rooftops and trees.

Carol and Pam from the Wichita Mountain Quilt Guild presented a fun fabric dyeing workshop at Judy’s house last weekend. We learned five different ways to dye fabric and really it was the tip of the iceberg. It was so interesting they are planning another workshop with more different ways to dye cotton. On her blog, Carol has information on the dye process we used; and Pam has pics from the event.  Judy prepared lunch and the table was filled with homemade soup, veggies, chips and two desserts! Everyone voted to have the next workshop at Judy’s again. Thanks to you all!
